Saudi Arabia’s owners are keen to invest in a Ligue 1 club and hire Zinedine Zidane as manager.
Prince Abdullah Saad Abdulaziz Al Saud told Goal, “I feel that investing in France is a sensible move. Marseille or AS Monaco are solid choices. I’m not sure what the relationship between Saudi Arabia and Zinedine Zidane will be like when he visits Marseille, but everything is conceivable. “Zidane would be an excellent coach.”

Saudi Arabia has big plans to enhance its global influence. In addition to bringing superstars like Cristiano Ronaldo and Karim Benzema to the Saudi Pro League, the Middle Eastern owners also acquired Newcastle United in England.
Prince Al Saud continued, “We have Ronaldo and Benzema, and the league is powerful. We will undoubtedly stun everyone again. More stars will join this league. Saudi Arabia intends to soon become the number one football destination.”
Back to Zidane: the French superstar has not commanded a team since leaving Real Madrid in the summer of 2021. Zidane, who was born in Marseille, may be intrigued in Saudi Arabia’s offer if the new initiative is sufficiently promising.
Zidane acknowledged his desire to return to coaching in February of last year, but he did not follow through. The French football great has turned down several high-profile clubs in order to focus on his national team. However, Zidane’s plan failed when the French Football Federation chose to stick with Didier Deschamps until the 2024 European Championship.
