Tickets to the Jurgen Klopp final match at Anfield as Liverpool manager are selling for more than 400 times the original price.
Jurgen Klopp’s last home match as Liverpool manager will be on May 19. The “The Kop” will host Wolves in the 38th round of the 2023/24 Premier League season. On that particular day, stadium tickets were offered for the standard price of £60.
Ticket prices are “sky-high” on the illicit market and secondary websites. According to the Mirror, seats in the front row, just behind the benches of both teams, may cost up to £24,480 (including website fees and taxes).
Even less appealing seats are now available for £2,000 on the illegal market. Those who purchased tickets at or around the initial price chose to resale them for 70-400 times more in order to profit.
This is the same price as Sir Alex Ferguson’s last match for Manchester United vs West Bromwich in 2013. In reality, British media anticipate that ticket prices will continue to climb rapidly since Liverpool has a strong possibility of winning the Premier League this season, giving Klopp the opportunity to collect the title in his final match at Anfield.
On January 26, Klopp openly declared his intention to quit Liverpool at the end of the current season. As a result, the 56-year-old strategist’s final encounter at Anfield in the 2023/24 season attracted a lot of attention.
