According to Digital Chat Station, a Weibo account that specializes in releasing iPhone camera information, the iPhone 16 Pro Max is expected to have the greatest camera capabilities on the market due to its improved image sensor. The gadget will employ the Sony IMX903 48-megapixel sensor, which has been designed for Apple with sophisticated features such as a stacked design for improved performance, a 14-bit ADC converter to aid transfer high-quality picture data, and DCG to help regulate light properly.

Furthermore, the iPhone 16 Pro Max’s image sensor will be 1/1.14 inches in size, which is 12% bigger than the 1/1.28-inch sensor on its two predecessors, the iPhone 14 Pro Max and 15 Pro Max. A bigger sensor can improve the camera’s dynamic range and background blur, as well as increase image quality in low-light circumstances by capturing more light with the same shutter speed and aperture.

The insider also stated that the iPhone 16 Pro and 16 Pro Max duo have a slightly curved screen compared to the current model, but the overall shape and thickness will remain same.

Last year, Digital Chat Station confirmed that the iPhone 15 and iPhone 15 Plus both contain a 48-megapixel sensor, however the iPhone 15 Pro and iPhone 15 Pro Max have a smaller sensor.
