Midfielder Donny van de Beek has struggled to regain form while on loan at Eintracht Frankfurt.
On January 27 (Hanoi time), Van de Beek was replaced after 45 minutes of Frankfurt’s 1-0 Bundesliga victory over Mainz. The home team then performed better, with Mario Gotze scoring the game’s sole goal in the 72nd minute.

Van de Beek’s terrible performance during his time on the pitch gave him the appearance of a ghost. The MU midfielder was positioned as number 10, but only completed 8 passes with a 63% accuracy percentage.
He had only three chances to put the ball in the opponent’s goal, touched it 14 times, and lost it six times. The former Ajax great didn’t even take a shot before being replaced. According to SofaScore, Van van Beek is one of the team’s two poorest players, with 6.5 points.
The 1997-born player has started three consecutive matches after arriving in Germany. Van van Beek, on the other hand, never played the entire 90 minutes of a match. He played 63 and 64 minutes against RB Leipzig and Darmstadt, respectively.
Van van Beek has faced a similar predicament. He was loaned out to Everton for the 2021/22 season, but he performed poorly. Van de Beek has twice left Old Trafford, failing to capitalise on opportunities to break through.
Van van Beek’s loan deal is valid until June and includes a purchase option worth 15 million euros. Frankfurt paid MU a borrowing charge of around 1.3 million Euros. The German club might choose not to exercise the purchase option at the end of the season.
